PEESE graduate student Daniel Garcia was recently awarded the Presidential Fellowship, which is the most prestigious fellowship awarded to graduate students by Northwestern University. This highly competitive award is funded by the President of the University. Daniel has previously received Ryan Fellowship (2013-2015), ISEN Cluster Fellowship (2015-2016) and two Honorable Mentions by NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (2014 and 2015).
Dajun recently accepted an offer of Operations Research Scientist from Amazon.com. After completing his PhD in summer 2016, Dajun will move to Seattle and join a group of 30+ PhDs, including a number of chemical engineers, to optimize the supply chain and inventory management of the largest e-retailer in the U.S.
Besides, Dajun recently received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Student Abroad with a $6,000 cash prize.
Dr. Chang He was recently appointed as a “Bai Ren” Associate Professor at Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China). The faculty fellowship provides him with a competitive salary and a generous start-up package.

Yunfei recently accepted a offer from ExxonMobil, and will move to Texas later this month to start his new job as a senior engineer.
Dajun Yue, a PEESE graduate student, was selected to receive the CAST Student Travel Award from the CAST Division of AIChE. All nomination packages were reviewed by a committee of 4 CAST Officers, and the competition was stiff. Dajun is one of the 5 CAST Travel Grant winners this year. The awards consist of $500 to support Dajun’s travel to attend the AIChE Annual Meeting, plus a ticket to the CAST Division Dinner at the Annual Meeting, where the recipients will be officially recognized and presented with the check. In the mean time, Dajun also received a travel award from The Graduate School (TGS) of Northwestern. This is his 2nd time of winning the TGS travel award.
Belinda Wang, who will be graduating this November, has accepted a full-time position at Honeywell’s Buffalo Research Center as a Research Scientist. Honeywell is a Fortune 100 company that invents and manufactures technologies to address tough challenges such as energy and sustainability. Belinda did her summer internship at Honeywell, and she is planning to start her full-time position there in early 2013. Congratulations, Belinda!
