A 2022 PEESE publication titled “Mining Bitcoins with Carbon Capture and Renewable Energy for Carbon Neutrality Across States in the USA.” in Energy & Environmental Science was selected as the back cover of September 2022 issue of Energy & Environmental Science. The graphic art is presented in the middle of the 2nd row. This is PEESE’s 3rd cover art in the journal: previous ones include Jian Gong’s paper on perovskite PV sustainability analysis and earlier work on PV technoeconomic aspects. AIChE Journal, the official journal of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, published a Perspective article from PEESE, in collaboration with NASA and ExxonMobil through a public-private-academic partnership, titled “Perspectives of Quantum Computing for Chemical Engineering” (AIChE Journal, 68, e17651). Another cover art in AIChE Journal on the left of the first row is for our paper featured on the cover of January 2023 issue of AIChE Journal. The paper is titled “Targeting climate-neutral hydrogen production: Integrating brown and blue pathways with green hydrogen infrastructure via a novel superstructure and simulation-based life cycle optimization” (AIChE Journal, 69, e17956).
