Prof. You has been selected to receive the 2017 AIChE Sustainable Engineering Research Excellence Award (formerly named “Research Excellence in Sustainable Engineering Award”). This award is presented annually to recognize an individual with significant contributions to research activities on sustainability, and it is most prestigious award given by AIChE honoring sustainability research. Prof. You was recognized for “fundamental contributions to sustainability analysis and optimization methods as well as applications to advanced materials, process manufacturing and energy systems.” The award will be presented at the AIChE Annual Meeting to be held in November 2017 in Minneapolis, MN. AIChE is the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 60,000 members from over 100 countries.
