Prof. You was recently notified of his selection for the Excellence in Process Development Research Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) this year. AIChE is the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 60,000 members from over 110 countries. Sponsored by Pfizer, the AIChE Process Development Division Research Award is highly competitive and is presented by AIChE to recognize an individual, who have made significant technical contributions to the advancement of process development research and whose accomplishments were disseminated by means of well-documented materials. Nominations are received from around the world. The recipient was selected by a panel of academic researchers and industrial practitioners, who are leading experts on process development in the chemical, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. Prof. You was recognized for his research accomplishments and industrial impacts on sustainable process design, batch process optimization, and process intensification for shale gas processing. This award will be officially presented at the 2019 AIChE Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, where he will also deliver an award lecture.
