Professor You co-leads a large AI for Science program with Professor Carla Gomes at Cornell CIS. The program is funded by Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic initiative of Eric and Wendy Schmidt. The $148 million Schmidt AI in Science Fellowships program will support researchers in developing and using AI in innovative ways to make the world better. The program, co-led by Professor Gomes and You, is one of the nine programs worldwide selected to receive this $148 million investment. Cornell will use the fund to recruit and train a cohort of up to 100 postdoctoral fellows over the next six years in natural sciences and engineering.
